waffle

Protein waffles

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Waffle maker

Ingredients
  

2 bananas

2 eggs

ΒΌ cup flour

1 tbsp Nutrilite kids complete superfood powder - you can substitute with 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp baking powder

pinch of salt

1 scoop of plant protein or whey protein - I will link you to my favourite ones in the notes section. All of them are chemical free which is really important in our family.

vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
  • Medium size is probably enough unless you double or triple the portion that I often do πŸ™‚.
  • I brush my waffle maker plates with a tiny bit of oil before baking the waffles.
  • I do not repeat this step before each waffle, I usually bake 2 rounds of waffles and then rebrush it with a tiny bit of oil.
  • Use a 1/2 cup to scoop out waffle batter, drop batter onto the pan and when they start to bubble on the top, flip them.
  • Cook the other side as well, until golden brown and serve right away with your preferred toppings.

Notes

I like to use the superfood power so my kids get healthy nutrients in the form of a pancake. The powder is so delicious anyway!
I sometimes add my collagen powder into the batter mix as well but that is completely optional.
